The Marangu Route, also known as the "Coca-Cola Route," is Kilimanjaro's most popular climbing route. It's the only route that offers hut accommodation, making it more comfortable than camping routes. The 6-day itinerary provides excellent acclimatization, increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak. Our certified guides, porters, and comprehensive safety equipment ensure a safe and memorable climb. The route takes you through diverse ecosystems from rainforest to alpine desert, culminating in the arctic summit zone.

Day 1

Arrival in Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in, you'll meet your mountain guide for a comprehensive briefing about the climb. Your guide will check your equipment and provide any necessary rentals. Enjoy a welcome dinner and get a good night's rest before beginning your adventure tomorrow.

Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Today you'll trek from the previous camp to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut at 2,700m. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours and takes you through diverse ecosystems. Your guide will set a steady pace to ensure proper acclimatization. Upon arrival at camp, you'll have time to rest, enjoy meals prepared by the cook team, and prepare for the next day's climb.

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Today is summit day! Start very early (around midnight) for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). The climb is challenging but incredibly rewarding. Reach the summit at sunrise for breathtaking views. After celebrating at the summit, descend back to camp. This is the most physically demanding day but also the most rewarding.

Day 6

Departure
