The Machame Route, nicknamed the "Whiskey Route," is considered Kilimanjaro's most scenic route. This 7-day climb takes you through five distinct climate zones, from rainforest to arctic summit. The route offers excellent acclimatization and stunning views throughout. Camping under the stars adds to the adventure, and our experienced guides ensure your safety and success. The extended 7-day itinerary significantly increases summit success rates compared to shorter routes.

Day 1

Arrival in Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in, you'll meet your mountain guide for a comprehensive briefing about the climb. Your guide will check your equipment and provide any necessary rentals. Enjoy a welcome dinner and get a good night's rest before beginning your adventure tomorrow.

Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Trek from previous camp to Machame Camp at 3,000m. The journey takes 5-7 hours through stunning mountain scenery. Today's route includes the famous Barranco Wall if applicable. Your guide ensures proper pacing for acclimatization. Arrive at camp for rest and meals.

Departure
